What did you think of last week’s Spotlight film, Wish I Was Here? For our ‘Spotlight‘ film this week, it’s one that the whole family can enjoy – Saving Mr. Banks (2013), starring two-time Academy Award-winners Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks.

This incredibly moving biopic, charts the real life story behind the timeless classic Mary Poppins, as Walt Disney (Hanks) does everything within his power to convince author P.L. Travers (Thompson) to sell the rights to the award-winning novel.

The story focuses on the unique relationship between two truly inspiring visionaries in their quest to make one of the greatest musicals in history, and for the first time ever, showing us the turbulent and equally magical life story of one of Britains most celebrated authors. Saving Mr. Banks is one for all generations of the family and boasts an a-list cast, including Paul Giamatti, Colin Farrell and Ruth Wilson, who help bring the story behind the story to life.
